Team Asha Rocks Vibha 5K!
(Pics courtesy of Cha)
It was a clear & gorgeous morning, and a group of our Team Asha runners gathered on campus to run the 5K race organized by Vibha. We got together for a few pre-race pics, and after the horn sounded, the runners were off! Some of us SOH crew waved posters and shouted out to our runners. We waited at the half-way mark to cheer on the runners. SOH crew was strategically poised to catch our runners in action - trigger-happy Bharath stood at the half-way mark focused intently on getting every runner's pic, Mohit armed with tri-pod caught runners' finish; Savi, G-rao & Arvind armed with posters cheered as runners came round to the finish line.
Our runners were all smiles as they blew by us and it was awesome to see the team spirit! There were a few small children who were walking along with their parents in the race, and after hearing us cheer, they picked up their pace! Really adorable.
What a great showing by Team Asha runners for the 1st race of the season, and great way to start the season!
With one feather tucked into the Team cap, we'll now get ready to take on the next challenge - the upcoming IBM 10K!
