ASHA and Me

So I'm running for Team Asha in the Strides of Hope Program. Having not done anything that is remotely good in life for a while now, I had been thinking of contributing to a good cause in some useful manner. That’s when someone told me about that thing that the folks in ASHA do. He said it’s called running. All you have to do is put one foot in front of the other and repeat it at a faster pace.  It sounds easy isn’t it? Of course I signed up. The concept is pretty simple. We run, we raise money and we help people. It’s a brilliant idea if you ask me.

It’s been almost two months since I started training with Team ASHA. It’s been a lot of fun so far. My goal is to run the Austin Half Marathon. Anytime you promise to raise money it might seem like a daunting task. But when I take a moment to think about it, for many people whom we are trying to help life itself is not easy. So here I am hoping that I can make a difference.

It’s great that we have a blog. I’ll keep y’ll entertained with my misadventures in this little space.

Good job, Sabari! You've already taken the first step towards making a difference by choosing to run with Team Asha! Raising money is not so daunting when you are inspired by the cause, so it's good to research about Asha's projects.
